The Manitowoc Fire and Rescue Department will be getting a new fire truck in the future.
They’ve recently signed a contract with Fire Service Inc. to build a new heavy apparatus that will replace their old equipment trailer.
The new apparatus will also provide additional equipment that will support the department in large incidents.
The money for the new fire truck comes from the 2026 city budget that was passed earlier this month.
Manitowoc Fire and Rescue got a new fire truck delivered to them earlier this year, as well as a new ambulance.
Both were approved in previous budgets.
