Trial is scheduled to start today (December 15th) for an Indianapolis, Indiana, man accused of shooting someone at a Manitowoc apartment complex in November 2023.
61-year-old Clarence Holder faces charges of attempted 1st-degree intentional homicide, attempted armed robbery, burglary, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Manitowoc Police were called to an apartment in the 2700 block of Viebahn Street after a person was shot.
A criminal complaint alleges that Holder posed as a delivery driver and pointed a gun at the unidentified victim, asking for his stuff.
The gunshot victim was able to get the 61-year-old out of the apartment and ran away.
However, the person was shot as they were trying to get away.
Since it’s day one of the trial, jury selection will take place first before the trial itself gets underway. It’s scheduled to last five days.
Holder could face up to 60 years in prison if convicted of the charges against him.
