The City of Two Rivers has been selected to receive a grant from T-Mobile.
The Cool City will get $50,000 from the cell service provider as a part of its Hometown Grant program.
The money will go toward the installation of an ADA-compliant kayak launch and paddle ramp on the West River to make recreational paddling fully accessible to all residents and visitors.
Representatives from T-Mobile were at the Two Rivers Senior Center on Saturday morning to present the check to City Manager Kyle Korell, who noted, “Improving Riverside Park is an investment for our southside families and for the long-term vitality of the neighborhood.”
The project was selected from more than 900 applicants this past quarter, and across Wisconsin, T-Mobile has now provided more than $540,000 to organizations in 13 cities.
Two Rivers is also one of 25 municipalities to receive funding in this round of grant donations.
