A Kiel elementary school is continuing a tradition of giving back.
Kiel High School introduced the IAM Wellness Closet in 2018, and Zielanis Elementary has begun its own Wellness Closet.
Students and families are encouraged to donate personal hygiene products, school supplies, gently used casual and formal clothing, socks, hats, and more to help those less fortunate.
The Kiel School District noted, “The philosophy, inspired by the students in the graduating class of 2020, emphasizes that no one should feel ashamed to seek what they need; rather, it promotes the understanding that these needs can be met collectively.”
Students are able to access the products before and after school, or by asking a teacher or staff member.
