A Milwaukee woman is heading to trial next month for the alleged murder of a DeForest native.
Jamica Mills had a preliminary hearing in court Wednesday on a charge of reckless homicide in connection with last month’s shooting that left 26-year-old Ariel Spillner dead.
The police report says the two were smoking marijuana together when Mills became paranoid and shot Spillner, despite the former DeForest athlete not making any threats against her.
Mills is scheduled to begin trial on January 9th.
