A local organization is nearing the end of a major fundraising effort for two local food pantries.
The Helen Gajdys Reis & Lester Reis Endowment Fund Board of Directors has announced that they have reached the halfway mark of their $20,000 fundraising goal to support Peter’s Pantry and the Two Rivers Ecumenical Pantry.
Roughly 1/3rd of the $10,000 raised has come from private donors, while the rest has come from the Endowment funds.
The organization is looking to get the final half of the money raised by December 13th.
