
The man charged with the killing of a man in an Oshkosh park over the summer has entered his plea.
20-year-old Daunte Riley pleaded not guilty to charges of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide and Disorderly Conduct with Use of a Dangerous Weapon for the killing of 27-year-old Walter Brooks.
The incident began as an altercation between two groups at Menominee Park.
The details of what led to the stabbing are unclear, as witness reports tell different stories.
An eight-day trial has been scheduled to begin on September 22nd, however there is also an evidentiary hearing on May 7th ahead of the trial.
Riley is being held on a $1 million cash bond.
