A teenager from Sheboygan County has been arrested after leading authorities on a high-speed chase.
WBAY reports that a deputy with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office witnessed a vehicle speeding on Lakeshore Drive yesterday (December 8th).
The deputy then attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle, however, the driver continued on at high speeds.
As the juvenile driver made a turn off Lakeshore Drive onto East Scott Street, they struck a curb, disabling the vehicle, which came to a stop near Brooke Street.
Once contacted by authorities, the unidentified Sheboygan County native was arrested on charges of Fleeing and Eluding and Recklessly Endangering Safety.
Three additional individuals were inside the vehicle at the time of the pursuit, but no information was provided on their ages or potential charges.
No injuries were reported to those in the fleeing vehicle, law enforcement, or civilians, and the only damage that occurred was to the suspect vehicle.
In total, the high-speed chase is said to have spanned approximately two miles in the City of Fond du Lac.
