Manitowoc County residents will soon have the chance to learn more about a proposed road construction project near Two Rivers.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will be holding an online public meeting tomorrow (December 10th) at 5:00 p.m. regarding improvements planned for State Highway 147.
This stretch of 147 is between the City of Two Rivers and Interstate 43, and also runs through Maribel, Mishicot, and Larrabee.
The proposed construction project is considered a resurfacing-level improvement, including mill and overlay work, a bridge deck overlay, culvert replacements, and more.
It would also include full closures of Highway 147 and detours during both culvert and bridge work. At this time, construction is scheduled to begin sometime in 2029.
Those interested in participating in the meeting to learn more and to ask questions to presenters can do so by visiting the project website at wisconsindot.gov.
Once on the project page, a link will be available that will allow you to join the meeting once it begins.
