More winter weather is on the way for eastern Wisconsin.
After about another inch of snow last night and into this morning, a winter weather advisory will take effect tonight at 8:00 p.m. this evening (December 9th) and will stay in effect until 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday (December 10th).
The National Weather Service says there could be about three to five inches of snow that will fall and will mean slippery road conditions due to the snow being wetter and denser compared to what we’ve gotten so far.
Today, the snow could turn into freezing drizzle, making the roads tough to drive on. After that, snow will return region-wide this evening and could be heavy at times.
Areas could also face sporadic tree damage or power outages due to the weather.
Following the snowstorm, temperatures will drop for the weekend, and wind chills could be around 10 to 30 degrees below zero for the weekend.
