A Manitowoc County native is earning another award from the Wisconsin Farm Bureau.
Kelly Wilfert, a member of the Manitowoc County Farm Bureau, was selected as the Outstanding Agricultural Professional.
The farm bureau explains that Wilfert is a State Farm Law Outreach Specialist for the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is part of the fifth generation of farmers at Wilfert Farms in Two Rivers.
In addition to her involvement with the county farm bureau, Wilfert is active at the state and national levels as a member of the WisGO Team and two-time national finalist and winner of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s Discussion Meet.
She is also one of the many people who help put on Manitowoc County’s Annual Breakfast on the Farm.
The 106th Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation and YFA Conference wrapped up yesterday at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells.
Other winners from the conference include Stephanie Abts from Oconto County and Kristen Konder from the Polk/Burnett Farm Bureau.
