The annual Lakeshore Holiday Parade has once again been cancelled.
Due to the incoming winter weather system, Visit Manitowoc and the City have decided to cancel the parade for the second time.
However, this time, there will be no makeup date scheduled.
Visit Manitowoc Executive Director Courtney Hansen tells SeehaferNews.com, “City crews will be focused on storm cleanup throughout the day, and uncertainty about the storm’s severity makes it impossible to ensure downtown can be prepared safely for the event.”
She also thanked all of the sponsors, namely, Novak’s Service Center, Vinton Construction, Oral Surgery & Implant Specialists BayCare Clinic, TDS Telecom. Nicolet National Bank, Briess Malt & Ingredients, Kwik Trip, Manitowoc Professional Police Association, Skana Aluminum, Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry, Tenneco, Kohler Credit Union, Seehafer News, Maritime Ford, Fricke Printing, Pozorski Hauling & Recycling, Lake Coast Local and various City of Manitowoc departments.
Parade participants will be asked to share photos of their floats and Visit Manitowoc will share their photos on Facebook later this week.
Prizes will still be awarded and announced to the public.
