Jordan J. Leavy-Carter
The Green Bay man charged in the death of a 5-year-old child in 2022 is still seeking an attorney.
Court records show that 38-year-old Jordan Leavy-Carter had an attorney, but he died before the case could go to trial.
Since then, Levey-Carter has been in court four times for status conferences, each time without legal representation.
FOX11 reports that the state had made over 4,300 contacts in an attempt to find him a lawyer, but Leavy-Carter is still without a lawyer.
He is facing charges of 2nd Degree Reckless Homicide, Neglecting a Child Consequence is Death, and Possession of a Firearm as a Convicted Felon following the death of 5-year-old Skye Bleu Evans-Cowley.
She reportedly got her hands on a gun belonging to Leavy-Carter, and while she was playing with it, the gun fired. Leavy-Carter then allegedly fled the scene, and a search ensued.
He was later caught in Beloit. He is next due in court on March 6th for another status conference.
