A bill combating sexual extortion in Wisconsin is now law.
Governor Tony Evers signed Assembly Bill 201 yesterday, also known as “Bradyn’s Law.”
The measure creates a new crime for sexual extortion with gradual penalties, while adding suicide and attempted suicide to the victim compensation program.
The bill was named in honor of DC Everest Junior High School student Bradyn Bohn, who took his own life following a sextortion scheme.
Evers signed the bill during a ceremony in Weston, where Bohn was from.
