An employee at the Cinnabon inside Ashwaubenon’s Bay Park Square Mall is in hot water after she was caught on camera making derogatory comments towards a customer.
The poster said in the description of the video, which was posted on TikTok, that she and her husband were out shopping on Friday when they decided to stop at the Cinnabon stand.
The couple, who are said to be from Somalia, placed an order, and the employee began making derogatory statements towards them and commented on the woman’s hijab.
This included calling them the N-word, idiots, and more. The audio on the original post has been removed, but the video has been posted on X.
The woman was recorded saying, “I am racist, and I will say that to the whole entire world,” and threatened to throw water on the couple when she found out she was being recorded.
In a post on X, Cinnabon stated, “We’ve seen the disturbing video from the Cinnabon bakery in Ashwaubenon, WI, and we do not condone this behavior. The former employee was immediately terminated by the franchise owner. Their actions do not reflect our values or the welcoming experience every guest deserves.”
