
A Mishicot man is facing charges after crashing his car into a Manitowoc business.
The Manitowoc Police Department dispatched officers to the former Shopko parking lot at 9:15 Friday evening (December 5th) to investigate a report that a vehicle had collided with the American Family Insurance building.
The building sustained heavy damage, and the driver appeared to be under the influence of a drug besides alcohol.
The 29-year-old man was reported to have bloodshot, glossy eyes and a raspy voice, and admitted to having consumed cough medicine prior to getting behind the wheel.
Marijuana and a can of compressed air were located inside the vehicle, and the man was taken to a local hospital for a sobriety test.
The man was arrested on charges of OWI with a Child Under 16 in the Vehicle, and Possession of THC, a subsequent offence.
