The City of Manitowoc is keeping a road closed a bit longer than initially expected.
East Magnolia Avenue between Johnston Drive and Holly Drive will remain closed to traffic through the winter months and next spring until all work is completed.
The closure is also being affected by incomplete pavement replacement, along with snow and cold settling in.
The city announced on October 16th that it would close the road for redevelopment of the former Mid-Cities and Lakeshore mall properties.
Manitowoc wants to develop the land for residential and commercial use, including up to 40 single-family homes and possible future apartments.
Tycore Inc., out of Green Bay, has been tasked with the project.
