Two criminal complaints give more details after a missing teen from Manitowoc was found by highway troopers in Wyoming.
The complaint shows that Alexcer Solis Gomez and Pedro Perez Giron are facing charges in Manitowoc County, including abduction.
The incident happened last month after Two Rivers Police were called to a home after a family reported the girl missing.
One criminal complaint alleges that after officers entered through a partially opened door, witnesses said the girl left with a friend and was expected to stay the night.
However, a witness told police that she believed her boyfriend was involved with the cartel, and the girl thought she was being followed.
Investigators later found surveillance video showing a gray Hyundai with California plates entering Two Rivers and temporarily stopping near the residence where the girl was staying.
People in the neighborhood said they saw the girl leave with a Hispanic male.
The next day, the Wyoming Highway Patrol found the girl on Interstate 80, and Solis Gomez and Perez Grion were arrested.
Solis Gomez then told police that he was paid to bring the girl to California to stay with her boyfriend.
Both suspects are currently in a Wyoming jail and are trying not to be extradited.
Authorities are working on bringing the girl back to Wisconsin.
