The Lakeland University Music Department will be spreading some holiday cheer this weekend.
The University will be hosting its annual Christmas at Lakeland Concert on Saturday (December 6th) inside the Bradley Theatre starting at 7:00 p.m. As is tradition, the Christmas concert will feature Lakeland’s Choir, Symphonic Band, and Chamber Orchestra playing all the holiday hits.
Before the concert, attendees can join the Muskie Tones at the Ley Chapel at 5:00 p.m. for cookies and carols ahead of the official concert program.
This year, under the direction of Lakeland’s new Choir Director, Wilhelmina Nelmes-Vogtle, the concert is looking to put a new twist on the annual holiday tradition. She hopes to have some songs tell the story of Christmas, while others will explore the natural beauty of winter.
This annual Christmas celebration is open to the public and will be free to attend for all of those interested.
