The lights are on for the Capitol Holiday Tree in Madison.
Governor Tony Evers and others gathered yesterday for the tree-lighting ceremony in the Capitol rotunda.
This year’s tree is a balsam fir and has been named the “Learning Tree” by Evers, going along with his declaration of 2025 being the Year of the Kid.
It’s a 30-foot-tall tree that was donated by the retired owners of an Oconto County tree farm.
The public can view the tree every day starting at eight in the morning.
