
It will be a busy night for local basketball, wrestling, and boys’ swim teams.
Starting with girls’ basketball, the Manitowoc Lincoln Ships open FRCC play tonight as they head up to Bay Port to battle the Pirates.
The Ships of Head Coach Riley Garbe split their first two games of the season and haven’t played since defeating Mishicot on November 24th.
There’s also a full slate of EWC games, including Roncalli at Sheboygan Falls, Two Rivers hosts Brillion, Valders looks to improve to 4 and 0 as they head to Chilton and Kiel makes a five-minute bus ride to New Holstein to battle the Huskies.

Elsewhere, Kohler hosts Waupun, Sheboygan North travels up to Pulaski, Algoma hosts Peshtigo, Green Bay NEW Lutheran is t Kewaunee, Sevastopol visits Sturgeon Bay, and Oconto heads north to Gibraltar to battle the Vikings. Notre Dame hosts De Pere.
Meanwhile, the Manitowoc Lutheran boys’ basketball team hosts the Kewaunee Storm in their second game of the young season.
Coach Scott Loberger’s team opened the season with a solid defensive performance in defeating Wrightstown 55 to 42. Senior Will Franzen connected on six three-point shots to lead the Lancers with 22 points, while Kewaunee opened its season defeating Valders 64 to 58 at home on Tuesday night.
Other games have Reedsville hosting Random Lake, Howards Grove hosting Ozaukee, Oostburg traveling to Kewaskum, Elkhart Lake/ Glenbeulah traveling to Coleman to play Faith Christian, Green Bay East hosting Sheboygan South, Pulaski is at Shawano, and Menasha makes a short road trip to Fox Crossing to battle St. Mary Catholic.
In boys wrestling, Manitowoc Lutheran has some grapplers participating in a multi-school event at Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond Du Lac beginning at 5:30 p.m., and Mishicot heads up to an invitational hosted by the Antigo Red Robins beginning at 4:30 p.m.
And several boys swimming teams open their season with a multi-school meet at Oshkosh West.
Teams scheduled to compete include Manitowoc Lincoln, Roncalli/Sheboygan South, Two Rivers, Kiel, Chilton, Plymouth, and Bay Port.
Events begin at 6:00 p.m.
