Community members in Sheboygan County showed out to support a local nonprofit organization.
The Humane Society of Sheboygan County, much like many other nonprofits and community resources, held special fundraising campaigns in celebration of Giving Tuesday (December 2nd) this week.
The Humane Society has since shared that thanks to the generous donations they’ve received, it was the shelter’s biggest Giving Tuesday to date, which received over $14,000 in charitable donations in just one day.
On the impact these donations will have, the Humane Society of Sheboygan County said, “Your generosity means warm beds, full bellies, and holiday-season comfort for every animal in our shelter.”
Additionally, in the holiday spirit, the Humane Society has kicked off its Home for the Holidays promotion. During this promotion, all cats and dogs will cost zero dollars to adopt throughout the entire month of December.
However, they have also said that adopters may “name their price” for a pet, which will be considered donations.
Regardless of the amount given upon adoption, each gift will go towards saving the lives of the most vulnerable animals in Sheboygan County.
