A Manitowoc organization is helping the food-insecure this holiday season.
Manitowoc’s Golden K Kawanis Club presented checks totaling $3,000 yesterday (December 2nd) to Peter’s Pantry, St. Vincent de Paul, the Salvation Army of Manitowoc County, and Grow It Forward.
Grow It Forward CEO Amber Daugs expressed her thanks to the local Kiwanis group and the community, saying it’s “truly appreciated and inspiring. Thank you for helping us in our mission to provide dignified food and access to those in need.”
Golden K Kiwanis explains that they enjoy getting involved in various efforts to improve the quality of life for children and adults in the community, with many of their members helping ring the bells for the Salvation Army during the Christmas season.
