A woman already serving time for a Green Bay homicide is getting additional jail time for an attack on a correctional officer.
FOX11 reports that a Fond du Lac County judge sentenced 28-year-old Taylor Schabusiness to 90 days in jail after she pleaded guilty in October to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge.
She’s already serving a life sentence with no chance of parole for the murder and dismemberment of Shad Thyrion back in 2022.
A criminal complaint says that while in prison, Schabusiness needed help from a nurse after falling on a staple, which became lodged in her arm.
A jail guard took the 28-year-old to a medical room, but she attacked the guard on the way.
Fond du Lac County prosecutors say the guard was unable to return to work after the incident. Schabusiness’s lawyer said she took responsibility for her actions and is working to improve herself.
The attorney representing the 28-year-old was the same person during her homicide trial back in 2023.
