Sentencing is being ordered for a Menomonie man charged following a 2023 attack.
Investigators say that 27-year-old Juan Hernandez-Roque battered a man who would not buy him beer.
Police located the victim after following a trail of blood.
Health officials say the victim would have died if he had not received medical attention.
He eventually told police that he couldn’t buy Hernandez-Roque beer because he was under 21.
Hernandez-Roque was ordered yesterday to spend five years in prison.
