Leadership changes are on the way for a Manitowoc-based nonprofit.
Shady Lane Inc. has shared that, effective December 19th, Administrator Todd Meerdink will retire, while Deanne Weier will be promoted to fill the role.
Meerdink has dedicated years of his time to Shady Lane, Manitowoc’s only not-for-profit senior living campus.
In his time, he has used his leadership and expertise to guide Shady Lane through service-focused, high-quality outcomes while strengthening its bond with the community.
Weier has been in senior leadership with the organization for many years and will bring a new expertise in aging services, regulatory compliance, workforce leadership, and program growth.
Monica Nichter, Shady Lane Board Chair, shared her gratitude toward Meerdink, stating, “We extend our deepest gratitude to Todd for his leadership, integrity, and ongoing dedication to the families we serve.”
She also showed her excitement for Shady Lane’s next chapter by adding, “Shady Lane’s future remains strong, stable, and mission-driven as we welcome Deanne as our new Administrator. Her vision, passion, and leadership will honor the legacy Shady Lane has built for over 70 years.”
Over the coming weeks, Shady Lane will share staff spotlights, community highlights, and more to shine a light on Meerdink’s work with the organization and the future leadership under Administrator Weier.
