The mother of Elijah Vue is scheduled to return to court today (December 1st).
32-year-old Katrina Baur will return to Branch 4 for a status conference as she faces charges of child neglect, resulting in death, neglecting a child, and two counts of resisting or obstructing an officer.
Vue was first reported missing in February 2024, with hundreds going out to look for the child.
The remains of the 3-year-old were found in the Town of Two Rivers in September last year.
Baur was first charged with child neglect after a criminal complaint alleged that she allowed her boyfriend, 40-year-old Jesse Vang, to “correct Elijah’s bad behavior.”
That included punishments of making him stand for hours at a time and threatening the toddler with cold showers.
Vang is scheduled to return to court on January 8th for a scheduling conference.
He’s charged with physical assault of a child, causing death.
