There are two meetings scheduled for today (December 1st) in the City of Two Rivers.
Up first is the Committee on Aging, which will be in the Senior Center Library at 8:30 a.m. After getting their usual monthly reports, the group will discuss what they can do better.
Then, at 6:00 p.m., the City Council will convene in the Council Chambers, where they will issue the Oaths of Office for Police Sergeants Leander Menn and Brad Dimmick, and Lieutenant Jacob Schweigl.
They will then hold public hearings regarding the Height and Area Exceptions section of the Municipal Code and a conditional use permit submitted by Starbucks, located at 1509 Washington Street.
Then, after hearing input from the public, the Council will discuss an ordinance to establish a new polling place for the 6th, 7th, and 8th Wards of the city.
They will also look over the perpetual care flowers ordinance, which has garnered some public outcry.
