The first major snowstorm of the year is set to hit Eastern Wisconsin this morning.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Manitowoc, Calumet, Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Outagamie, Waushara, and Waupaca Counties, which will remain in effect until 9:00 Sunday morning.
Accumulations of 6 to 9 inches are expected, with an excess of 10 inches possible in Kewaunee and Manitowoc Counties.
Driving is anticipated to be difficult at times, so holiday travelers and hunters are encouraged to be prepared by packing an extra flashlight, food, and water in their vehicles.
It is also important to make sure your cell phone is fully charged before hitting the road.
