Manitowoc Lincoln tips off their 2025-26 basketball season at the JFK as they host the Plymouth Panthers.
The Ships, under second-year head coach Shane Evans, have some big shoes to fill in the departures of talented all-around player Brayden Steinbecker and sharp-shooting guard Eddie Bolchen due to graduation.
Manitowoc Lincoln is picked by the pundits to finish in the bottom half of the very competitive FRCC, but is looking to surprise the pundits by relying on stellar guard play and a tenacious defense to work their way up the conference standings.

Elsewhere, Mishicot opens its season at Sevastopol, Kiel is on the road Omro, Southern Door travels to Denmark, Chilton opens at Sturgeon Bay, Cedar Grove/Belgium entertains Sheboygan Lutheran, New Holstein starts its season at home against Random Lake, Oostburg heads to Fond Du Lac to play St. Mary’s Springs, Green Bay Southwest entertains Menasha, St. Mary Catholic is at Wautoma and Gibraltar hosts Northeast Wisconsin Christian Home Athletics Association.
Meanwhile, the Manitowoc Lutheran and Two Rivers girls teams are both off to 2-0 starts and meet tonight in the Raiders’ home opener.
The Lancers have been impressive in their first two games of the season, defeating Ozaukee 72-33 and Winnebago Lutheran Academy of Fond Du Lac 61-45.
Two Rivers has a pair of road victories to open the season, defeating Cedar Grove/Belgium 60-42, and behind 23 points and 14 rebounds from Ali Gallagher, they defeated Sturgeon Bay 56-31 last Friday night.

Meanwhile, Roncalli opening their season at Howards Grove, Brillion looks to improve to 3 and 0 as they host Southern Door, Elkhart Lake/Glenbeulah looks for their fourth straight win to open the season as they visit Sheboygan Christian, Sheboygan North makes a short trip to Sheboygan Falls, Sheboygan South hosts Random Lake, and Sheboygan Lutheran is at Cedar Grove/Belgium.
Also, Kewaunee travels to Oconto Falls, Hilbert hosts Sturgeon Bay, Ozaukee hosts Campbellsport, Oshkosh North is at Bay Port, De Pere plays at Fond Du Lac, Luxemburg Casco travels to Seymour, Green Bay NEW Lutheran hosts Lena, and Fox Valley Lutheran takes a short bus ride to Xavier to battle the Hawks.
