A house fire in Sturgeon Bay claimed the life of one individual.
The Sturgeon Bay Fire Department responded to the fire in the 1100 block of Pennsylvania Street just before 4:00 Saturday evening, and found an unresponsive male inside the home.
Life-saving measures were taken, but the man could not be resuscitated and died at the scene.
The identity of the man is being withheld pending notification of the family.
The cause of the fire is not known, and additional information will be released upon the completion of an autopsy and the fire investigation.
The Sturgeon Bay Fire Department was aided at the scene by the Wisconsin State Fire Marshals Office, the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office, Sturgeon Bay Police, and Door County Emergency Services.
