One person is in custody in connection with the shooting death of a man in Calumet County.
The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office dispatched deputies to a home in Woodville at around 1:00 Friday afternoon on a report of a man being shot.
Investigators arrived on the scene to find a 56-year-old man with a gunshot wound, and while first responders administered life-saving measures, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on a charge of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, but no additional information was released.
The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Wisconsin DNR, Wisconsin State Patrol, Gold Cross Ambulance, Hilbert-Potter First Responders, Hilbert Fire, and the Calumet County Medical Examiner’s Office.
