Time is running out for those interested in applying for a position in the City of Sheboygan.
The deadline to submit an application for the city’s next Poet Laureate is tomorrow (November 24th).
The new poet will serve in the role from January next year until January 2029 and will be appointed by Mayor Ryan Sorenson.
The role of Sheboygan Poet Laureate was created in 2020 to “celebrate creative expression, cultural understanding, and civic engagement through the literary arts.”
Lisa Vihos was appointed as the first Poet Laureate in 2020.
