A proposed tax levy increase in the Town of Mishicot will not happen.
During a special town elector meeting, a resolution to exceed the town’s tax levy by $200,000 failed on a vote of 52 no and 47 yes.
The town requested to raise the levy at an April 2025 annual meeting, and it would have been solely used for road repairs and maintenance.
Documents from the town’s website showed that the increase would have added about $1.17 for each $1,000 of assessed value of property and would have gone into effect on the 2025 tax bill for town residents.
