A Kenosha couple is facing more than 170 animal abuse and neglect charges.
It started when police executed a search warrant and seized 27 dogs from the property, including 11 puppies.
Officers say some of the animals were sharing small kennels without food, water, or bedding.
There were also urine pads and fecal matter scattered around the home.
Investigators noted this wasn’t the first time police visited the home, which resulted in a court order banning one of the suspects from having any animals.
