A woman has died after she jumped from a bridge in Fox Crossing.
FOX11 reports that the Fox Crossing Police Department responded to the area of Highway 10 and I-41 just after 11:15 a.m. Tuesday morning, on a report of a woman potentially in need of assistance.
When the officer arrived, he reported seeing the woman jump from the Highway 10 overpass onto I-41.
A northbound vehicle was able to stop in time and move the woman to the side of the roadway to begin administering aid.
Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene, but attempts to save the woman were unsuccessful. She was pronounced dead a short time later.
The investigation into the situation remains ongoing.
