A Madison woman is awaiting trial in the deaths of multiple dogs in her vehicle.
Judith Wiesner appeared in court yesterday on five counts of mistreatment of animals causing death and two more for intentionally mistreating animals.
Police say the 68-year-old had kept her Great Dane named Macy and her six puppies in a van without access to air, food, or water.
Macy was found dead in the van, while one of the puppies was found outside.
A not guilty plea was entered for Wiesner, but a motion hearing hasn’t been scheduled.
