One of the two investors who brought the Cobblestone Hotel to Two Rivers has been honored for his community support.
Cobblestone Hotels awarded Richard Carey as its 2024 Investor of the Year during its annual brand awards ceremony in Orlando, Florida.
Carey and his business partner Ross Niemi helped fund the construction of the Cobblestone Hotel along the shoreline of Lake Michigan in 2020.
Carey was praised by those who nominated him for his dedication to his community, specifically noting that he sits on multiple community boards and actively advocates for the continuing development of his city.
In the announcement, it was also stated that Carey “takes a very hands-on approach to the oversight of the property as well and is not afraid to roll his sleeves up to do the hard work alongside his employees. Richard’s deep care for Two Rivers and for his property is evident in the way he advocates for his team and his community, making him the well-deserved recipient of the 2024 Investor of the Year award.”
Richard will be receiving a plaque that will be displayed at the Cobblestone Hotel & Suites – Two Rivers.
