A drug interdiction operation conducted in coordination with area law enforcement is being called a success.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit, Manitowoc and Two Rivers Police Departments, and Wisconsin State Patrol were all part of the operation, which took place last Wednesday (November 12th).
The goal was to identify and disrupt drug trafficking activity within Manitowoc County, during which four police K-9 teams were deployed and 18 traffic stops were made.
Law enforcement seized a total of 2.3 grams of heroin, 185.3 grams of methamphetamine, 34.3 grams of cocaine, close to 72 grams of THC, 24.7 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, four firearms, one knife, 111 rounds of ammo, and other drug paraphernalia.
Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig commended the teamwork of each agency, saying, “Our shared commitment to proactive drug enforcement continues to improve public safety and protect the residents of Manitowoc County.”
Information obtained during the operation also led to the arrest of 43-year-old Bradley J. Fonder.
