There is only one meeting today (November 17th) in the City of Two Rivers.
The City Council will gather in the Council Chambers at 6:00 p.m., where they will welcome two new firefighter-paramedics, Nathan Sekora and Hunter Decker.
Then, after Police Chief Ben Meinnert honors Lieutenant Karen Elsenpeter for her 32 years of public service, the Council will discuss the City’s financial contribution to Maritime Metro Transit Route One.
As we previously reported, the City is exploring alternative models to reduce the amount of Two Rivers property tax dollars used to subsidize MMT Route 1, which has increased 44% over the past five years.
They will also review two ordinance amendments.
One is in regard to the regulation of snow and ice removal, while the other is on the raising of certain fees.
