A Sheboygan County barn caught fire over the weekend.
WHBL reports that fire crews from Waldo, the Town of Sheboygan Falls, Plymouth, and Oostburg converged at the farm on Sumac Road, roughly 2 miles southeast of Plymouth, at around 3:45 p.m. on a report of a barn fire.
The fire was quickly brought under control, but not before it caused significant damage to the barn and its contents.
The property owner told authorities that they had finished up their chores and parked a skid loader in the barn, and a short time later, smoke was coming from the structure.
Attempts to stop the fire from spreading were unsuccessful. What exactly caused the skid steer to catch fire is not known at this time.
