As the holiday season approaches, the United Way of Sheboygan County is looking to help those in need or those looking to support their neighbors.
The United Way has unveiled its 2025 Holiday Giving Guide, a template created to make it easy to find the help you and your family need or to give back in meaningful ways.
Included in the Giving Guide are local meal programs, Thanksgiving dinners, and toy drives to ensure children receive a holiday gift.
For those looking to offer support, there is a long list of coat collections, baby need wish lists, and other ways to donate holiday essentials.
Data from the United Way states that in Sheboygan County, one in three individuals in Sheboygan County struggles to make ends meet, meaning a third of residents have a tough enough time, let alone during the holiday season when Thanksgiving or Christmas meals and holiday shopping add expenses that many simply can’t afford.
When explaining the importance of the Holiday Giving Guide, the United Way stated, “Whether you donate a gift, pick up an extra pack of diapers, give your time, or spread the word — please know that your act of kindness and generosity makes a real and meaningful difference.”
