Cheese makers can now submit entries for a biennial cheese contest.
The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association is hosting the 36th World Championship Cheese Contest on March 3rd-5th, 2026, in Madison at the Monona Terrace Convention Center.
It will include 150 classes of dairy products, with entries from around the world, evaluated by a team of more than 50 international judges who assess flavor, body, texture, and other categories.
A gold, silver, or bronze medal will be awarded to the three highest-scoring entries in each class, with gold medal cheeses moving on for a chance at getting the World Championship Cheese title.
All entries must be submitted by January 30th.
The championship cheese contest began in 1957 and includes awards for butter, cultured products, and dry dairy ingredients.
