Jerome A. Braun, age 89 of Manitowoc, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay.
Jerome was born on September 21, 1936, in Manitowoc, son of the late John and Laura (Grall) Braun. On November 30, 1957, Jerome was married to the former Darlene Nelson at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death April 26, 2021. Jerome worked in construction and later was employed with the DPW for many years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Jerome enjoyed going up to his cottage in Townsend, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his four children: Steven (Debra) Braun, Manitowoc, Michael (Sally) Braun, Manitowoc, Lisa (Jeff) Robinson, Manitowoc, Timothy (Amy) Braun, Manitowoc; four grandchildren: A.J. (Amber) Spackman, Manitowoc, Trevor Braun and special friend Natalee, Manitowoc, Courtney Braun and special friend Treven, Manitowoc, Halle Braun and her fiancé Trenton, Kaukauna; two great-grandchildren: Jordyn and Josie Spackman, Manitowoc; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Linda Nelson, Manitowoc, Randy (Karen) Nelson, Manitowoc, Rick (Linda) Nelson, Manitowoc, Corie (Kris) Siara, Wabeno; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Laura Braun; his wife: Darlene Braun; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Earl (Lydia) Nelson; three brothers: Harold (Katie) Braun, Eugene (Dorothy) Braun, Clem (Marianne) Braun; in-laws: Robert Nelson, Russell (Darla) Nelson, Sharon (Gary) Stryhn.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at St. Francis of Assis Parish, 2109 Marshall St., Manitowoc. Rev. Arogya Prashanth Gade will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum.
