The charges are now official for the fourth person connected to a child neglect case in Outagamie County.
Melissa Goodman has been charged with three counts of Chronic Neglect of a Child, Consequence is Great Bodily Harm, and two counts of Chronic Neglect of a Child, Consequence is Emotional Damage.
These are the same charges filed against her husband, Walter Goodman, his step-sister, Savanna LeFever, and her partner, Kayla Stemler.
FOX11 reports that Melissa’s bond was set at $150,000 cash, the same as Walter and LeFever.
The investigation began when Walter called 911 in August to report that his daughter was almost comatose.
The responding officers found the 14-year-old girl looking to be on the verge of death, weighing 35 pounds.
Walter claimed the girl wouldn’t eat, even though they tried to feed her, but the victim told police that he would get mad at her when she ate too much.
All four people are facing a maximum of 140 years in prison and up to $320,000 in fines if convicted.
