The Chamber of Manitowoc County honored fifteen of the brightest young professionals in the county last night.
The Future 15 award winners were each spotlighted at Knox’s Silver Valley and given a chance to talk about what they do and how they plan to continue to work to make Manitowoc County an amazing place to live, work, and play.
The awardees include three people involved in local schools, namely Lakeshore College’s Dental Program Coordinator and Instructor Christina McGinnis, the Manitowoc Public School District Social Worker Claudia Fischer, and the 5th and 6th Grade Math Teacher at Roncalli Catholic Schools, Tanya Kakuk.
Two Rivers is well represented this year, with School Resource Officers Briana Propson and Amanda La Tour, and Lieutenant Matthew Lutze representing the Police Department, AJ Lorrigan representing the Parks and Recreation Department, UScellular and Two Rivers Business Association’s Colt Peterson, and Carron Net Vice President Kellyn Kiel all making the list.
Also on the Future 15 list is Felician Village Membership Supervisor Lauren Daun, Steven Haensgen of Shoreline Hometown Credit Union, Kali Hentges of the Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA, Eck Industries’ VP of Finance Samantha Reed, Ascend Services Employment Services Coordinator Logan Rooney, and Frank Simac of Lakeshore Community Health Care.
One of these individuals will be named the Young Professional of the Year at the Chamber’s Awards of Distinction in February.
