Hospitals in our area remain among the safest for patients during the fall.
The Leapfrog Group, which evaluates safety across hospitals, gave Aurora Medical Center- Manitowoc County and Aurora Medical Center- Sheboygan County “A” ratings in its fall 2025 patient safety report card.
Other hospitals around the area received a “C” rating or lower.
Leapfrog looks at 22 safety measures, including infections, surgical complications, practices to prevent errors, and other factors, to assign grades based on how well hospitals protect patients from harm.
Aurora Health Care President Gabrielle Finley-Hazle says the healthcare group is proud again to be given the “A” rating, as “our teammates are committed to providing the best possible care. Leading the way in quality isn’t just our goal – it’s a responsibility we’re proud to uphold every day.”
Nine other hospitals around southeastern and eastern Wisconsin were also given “A” ratings.
