Thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment was stolen from a veteran-focused organization in Fond du Lac.
WBAY reports that a 12-foot trailer with a custom interior belonging to Operation Wisconsin was stolen from Shaganappi Park, along with the windsurfing, paddleboarding, and kayaking equipment inside.
Operation Wisconsin was founded in 2014 with a goal of assisting the families of Soldiers deployed overseas to cover the costs of shipping packages.
Since then, they have also begun helping veterans and first responders who are struggling with PTSD, addiction, and depression, which is what that equipment was for.
The organization has filed a report with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, but no details have been released regarding its investigation.
