Two Rivers High School continued its longstanding tradition of honoring veterans for their service.
The morning of Veterans Day started with a breakfast for Veterans and family members who attend the school, followed by a celebratory assembly which had music played by the High School’s Band.
The ceremony also featured keynote speakers Neysa Bianchi and Brian Gallagher.
Many students were thankful they were able to celebrate local community members, and they were able to recognize the importance of the event.
One even noted, “I think Veterans Day is really important because it gives us a chance to honor the people who served our country. A lot of times, we forget how much they’ve sacrificed so we can live the way we do.”
The day also included programs at L.B. Clarke Middle School, Koenig, and Magee Elementary Schools.
