The Manitowoc Lutheran girls’ volleyball team will be playing for another state title.
The Lancers faced off against the defending Division 3 state champion Barron Bears this morning, and Barron gave the Lancers all they could handle.
Manitowoc Lutheran won the first set 25-22 and had a little more breathing room in the second, winning 25-20.
However, in set three, it was tight the whole way through.
The Lancers pulled out the win, 27-25.
They will next face Watertown Luther Prep, who knocked off Luther 25-17, 25-20, 25-13.
That matchup will begin at 2:30 Saturday afternoon at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon with the state championship on the line.
Coverage on 980 WCUB and cubradio.com begins at 2:15 p.m.
